The flying turtle is my favourite 🙂

    • Hi dear Rainee, I’m so glad because I agree with your favourite. This turtle seems as it could be a natural and ordinary picture in our life. It is not heavy because the composition has divided its body in two parts, light the left and dark on the rights side. And the axis is not exactly in the center of the picture. Its shell is made like the manner that is made the fortified city. Its head and the vanishing point perspective of the buildings are looking to the right. And also with the same palette than the sky. Everything has coherency, everything is keeping armony. Thanks so much for your choice, and thanks for your friendly comment too. Best wishes. ❤

    • I should’ve guessed it, you do not want to miss any celebration or party. And if these are with fireworks and lanterns, then less. The problem of dreaming pretty things, is in the morning when alarm clock reminds us, that in our work, there is a boss that is waiting us. Thanks a million for your friendly and lovely comment. Best wishes for you, dear Beth. ❤

  4. I really like a lot of pics today: moolight on the loch, the homecoming in the evening, the Japanese celebration and carriages under a rainy night all really appeal. The flying turtle fascinates me, too, and others just make me smile. In fact, I like them all, in different ways They’re all so well done.

    • Oh Millie, I’m glad if you liked these works. And I share with you about the mighty fascination of The flying turtle It evokes me, as it could be a kind of odd deity. After these several depictions of dreams, we shall never believe that our dream could be the most rare of all. Humans’ mind is so variously and incredible. Thanks for stopping by, and thanks a million for your wise and expert comment. ❤

Hi Sketch Universe. I am going to choose two I think: I like ‘the bird of the night’ (Chagall) and ‘untitled’ by Kubin. I like the splashes of primary colour and the apparent humour of the former. And I like the grey scale of apparent doom

Ooops. . . . of the latter. The people look like ants being fatally attracted into a giant black tunnel, with God knows what at the end of it.

    • Hi honey, your chosen drawings are very interesting because they balance each other. In the drawings by Chagall, often appear some couples, and refer to the intimate life and love, besides being a amiable works for their color. However Kubin’s works often express distress or intrigue, and do not grant any kindness to our eyes and usually it is monochromatic. But in both cases they are images that offer us to imagine a story, about the mission of that bird in the Chagall’s, or the tunnel in the Kubin’s drawing. Thank you very much for your generous and wise comments. Best wishes.

    • Oh Marie, your choice it’s so important, not because this work is my favourite, but also because it has something that makes possible we see with normality a flying turtle. I’m so grateful for your friendly comment. Thanks so much and best wishes. ❤
