I love these scenes of everyday things we do, elevated into art. They remind me to really notice what’s happening around me, and to see everything as something more than ordinary. And I love your brush. 😀

Thanks so much for showing us the pictures of different interpretations of working… I enjoyed to find the speciality of some interesting pictures like “Father and son asking for alms…” When I asked a girl last time what she wants to do, when she ´s growing up, she answered: “Oh, I want to be a Harzer! My parents are some and they and I are living pretty good!” I´was very shocked… (In Germany the social program for the people with no work ist called “Hartz IV”).

I apologize for my delay. The sketch that you referred was made by Isidre Nonell depicting an scene of poorness during the last quarter of 19th century in Barcelona, my city, too.
This author was worried for some disfavored groups of people. He often also had the gypsies as a normal motif for his works. He died when he was 39 years old with a typhoid fever.
I understand what you say, the meaning of your irony but the same current capitalism’s egoism arrives to conclusion that is more expensive the A option to marginalize some people with the delinquency, sanitation and most other social troubles, than the option B assigning them some social economical helps. I know enough what happens in the courts, and behind a lot of cases, there are severe social inequalities.
Our countries appertain to called first world because we avoid that kind of people may be enslaved as centuries before or in the Third World.
In my opinion we must to have a minimun of Ethics, but this is only a site dedicated to the sketch and drawing.
