  1. Older faces definitely make for an interesting study 🙂

    • Oh Wendy, so true. Try to sketch the folds of costumes and garments is so complicated but to depict the face of an old person is more difficult because each of these pleats is a mark of their lives. Thanks for your wise and kind comment. Best wishes 😉

  2. Wonderful post! Old faces – and bodies – are the most interesting to draw! Whereas drawing a baby can be a little bit tedious ´cause there´s yet not much to capture…

  4. Probably never will get as much attention and feedback as some 20yr old naked picture these days 😦

  5. You have great taste for chosing sketches! My favorite here is by Goya. The old man almost is dying but yet Goya is taking the last breaths and making them a drawing. Amazing!

    • Your comment we thought-provoking. Unfortunately we do not think enough in old age until it arrives. Perhaps it was Oscar Wilde who said the experience of old age, was no problem. The really difficult thing was the ‘being young’. Thanks so much for your comment. Good evening from a warm one, as it is Barcelona ❤

      • Thanks for your nice reply! Today , we´ve 34 °C in Saarebrueck, so hot, too… But nevertheless I would prefer beeing in Barcelona… Have a wonderful evening, too, with the sounds of the Alhambra-song, played on the guitar,… That´s what I´am remember, whe I´m thinking of the nice warm nights over there … Nessy from the happinessygirls. j

      • Dear Nessy, sometimes we want what we haven’t though my senses can understand what you’re saying about this theme, but we can transcend with the stuff or companionship that we got in each moment. Here this night is kindly good because is not too humid as ever. It was a windy thursday. The wellness of our skin is important but not as much as our feelings. It has been a true bliss to share some words with you. Bye to bedclothes and good night. Thanks for comment.
