Help!! My little old lady dilemma.
šWELL LOVELIES! IT’S TIME FOR SWEET GRANDMOTHERS AND TENDER STORIESš
I live in a block of flats and one of my many neighbours is an elderly woman (approximately 83 years in age).
So, One day (3 months ago) I was returning home with my son from his nursery and I could see a familiar elderly lady standing aimlessly outside the flat entrance or maybe the word Iām looking for is confused (she looked very confused), clutching onto a blue rubber bag, the type you get from the fish market when you buy an ounce of prawns, except it looked as though there were a couple of documents in this āsacredā rubber bag.
I recognised her by her hunched back and fairly frail frame. It was a cold blustery day and she looked so alone, I just wanted to hug her! I could see her head scarf blowing erratically against the motion of the violent wind. I briskly walked over toā¦

OLD SONGS
āšæHI LOVELIES! THESE ARE WONDERFUL WORDS, AND THE MERMAID OF THE SNOW IS BEAUTIFUL
Donāt aim for me when Iām gone,
when all thereās left are memories of old songs I sung;
donāt aim with roses or with a gun,
when all thereās left are memories of the tears and funā¦
The birds have migrated to the West my love,
each and every empty nest now boasts of only a story,
which you, my poet, would sing in prose,
sing and sing and sing of all our gloryā¦
The birds wonāt return in the Summer, my love,
they have faced the dreaded Winter winds,
they revel in the nip and dance in the frost,
theyāve left memories of Spring behind..
The birds donāt sing anymore, my love,
they dance to a music only they can hear,
they kindle flames and therein burn,
then rise again, amid festive cheerā¦
Donāt aim for me when Iām gone,
but sing old songs we both have sung;
donātā¦

Sunday woods
āšWELL BEAUTIES! HAVE A NICE DAY. THIS MORNING IN BARCELONA 20 ° BUT I LOVE THIS SNOWY LANDSCAPE.
Ā Itās an abrupt start to winter, isnāt it? It feels like I was painting boat scenes only a few weeks ago. But the snow arrived suddenly and seems to be sticking around in Montreal, much to my delight. Usually I can only paint scenes like this on my winter school holiday in January.Ā
At -10C, itās was tooĀ cold this morning to be outside with an easel, so this one was painted in my warm studio, after a walk with Alice. Ā These days, Arches rough paper is working well for me, and I am in the process of working with some different brushes which I will write about soon, probably when my school semester is over. Iām long overdue to update my materials page too, but again, it will be in a few weeks when I have more time. In the meantime, Iām just happy to sneak in a few hoursā¦

Boot Sucking Mud
š²š²š²HELLO LOVELIES! IT’S TIME FOR FIRS š
Frozen in place, sunk
Horse stands still, I slide sideways
In boot sucking mud!
Art Prescription: So while I was horsing around I took a dip in the mud. I just have to laugh and carry on.
The horses were grateful for dry hay into their run-in sheds.
Feeling the holiday spirit I did a little mixed media painting:
