There was a monkey in one of the doorways to the temple of Angkor Wat. Getting through meant having to walk just a few feet beside him. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared. I had never seen a monkey on the loose that close in my life. But, I stayed calm, minded my distance and managed to get through without any problems.

There was a couple of women behind us – one taking pictures of the monkey. She kept inching closer and closer. And then, the monkey tried to grab her selfie stick (or whatever it was). She freaked out (understandably, fine.) But, what happened after was completely uncalled for and bordering stupidity in my opinion.

She pointed the stick towards the monkey as if to hit him and mentioned something about revenge. Seriously. First of all, how…
