I will participate in an exhibition in Spring and I have to choose a picture for the catalog.

Jag ska delta i en utställning i vår och jag behöver välja en bild till katalogen där alla utställare presenteras.

Which one should I choose? Vilken ska jag välja?

One of my pil paintings? En av mina oljemålningar?

A Trosa town pastel? En Trosapastell?

Or another Trosa town pastel? Eller en annan Trosapastell?

Perhaps a puzzle giraffe? Kanske en pusselgiraff?

HI LOVELIES! THIS SUNDAY, IN SPAIN, THE GOVERNMENT HAS ALLOWED ACCOMPANIED CHILDREN TO GO OUT ON THE STREET FOR A FEW HOURS.

MaryAnn Adair's 'Is it art' Blog

Be Free is a street artist who began her street art in September, 2010. She uses stencils and free flowing acrylics for installations and street painting and pasting adventures around Melbourne; which she is slowly introducing around the world.

Since her beginning, she has been trying new ideas, media and methods for interacting with the public; engaging the passers-by; and displaying art in different manners and scales.

• Be Free’s first art piece was for her sister’s birthday – where she drew up a little map and gave her sister $5 for coffee and said take a camera.
• The surprise was a piece created in North Fitzroy, opposite the cafe.

It’s three weeks since I last showed you Harold and I have to say I’m quite amazed at the progress this time! I was getting to the point of thinking I’ll just get his head and shoulders done and frame it smaller…

Three weeks ago I’d just sorted out his nose!

I tackled his left ear first (as you look at it!) it was a bit ‘blocky’, I know that’s the techniques the designer uses, like a cross-hatching of stitches, but it is somewhat out of my comfort zone! I started adding some finer stitches to blend everything in a bit, most of the embroidery is stitched with three strands, I started over stitching with one or two threads, it seemed to work. Of course it would have been better if I’d done a little on one ear, then the same on the other, as it was by the time…
