🇺🇸 AWFUL AMERICAN SYSTEM 🇺🇸

Hi folks !

American police are killing with racist reasons, one more time.

Last May week (2020) was happened another murder, this time in Minneapolis.

This is only a blog for sketchers, illustrators and another artists, but we shouldn’t be blind in front this wild , cruel and absurd fact that lasts so much.

We have no weapons, but we can complaint and the protest is absolutely legitimate.

Thanks for your visits!

Drawing in pencil

💗✏💗✏ HELLO BEAUTIES. AS YOU CAN SEE, WITH A SIMPLE PENCIL WE CAN MAKE

Roxanna Rendon Agin

I know I haven’t been writing steadily and been feeling blue since all this started but I’ve been keeping my consistency in painting. It’s the one thing I have been sticking to besides eating and using the restroom of course. Last year I had gone through a painting hiatus and even though this year has had a rough start, I have more hope for it. Nothing really has seemed to help except working on my art, it just clears my mind and I feel at ease.

Here is some art I have made in the past month…

Woman on the Wall-Poetry & the Visual Arts

👼📝 HELLO DARLINGS! TODAY WE’VE GOT A WONDERFUL SKETCH AND NICE WORDS. “A TEAR ESCAPES. GRAZES THE FEATHER. WHISPERS THE TRUTH SHE CARRIES’.

dark and deep

but alive with hope

Winding Stream Press

woman on the wall

from a collage in soft pastels and pen by Quinn Clarice Mae DeRuiter

The Woman on the Wall

carries stories hidden behind her closed eyes.

Her vibrant red lips

sealed

shut,

a story speaks in a blue feather.

Its whisper touches her shuttered eye.

A tear escapes.  Grazes the feather.

Whispers the truth she carries

dark and deep

but alive with hope.

Someday she will tumble

from the wall.

Her feather, safe in her black hair,

lies tucked under the bird nest bun

that perches on her head

hat like but trembling

with new born birds.

Free, her stories birth as words.

The words & birds grow together

until the birds fly them both away.

The woman finds laughter.

Her eyes fly open.

They cannot stop staring.

“Chores”

📋👀 HI SISTERS! A GOOD SKETCH ALWAYS BECOMES A GOOD WORK

Lynn Steiner - Artist

Finished number 9 in my Back in Time series http://lynnsteiner-artist.com/back-in-time-series/

I was back at it after a short break to consider and plan the next few paintings. Painting like a true weekend warrior, between chores, only fitting that I call this one “Chores”. Special Thanks to my friend Mark Tessier for the use of his outstanding photo to use as reference!

I remembered to take process photos again. Little does the public know how many times we plan, thumbnail, sketch, block in, paint, wipe out, paint again, change our minds, add something, take something out, call it done…call it not done, and finally sign our name. 😅
