Leaving Again

πŸŠπŸ’¦πŸ“ OH DEARS! “I PRAY YOU WILL AGAIN RETURN”. DON’T MISS THE PAINTING BY FRAN HOLT AND THE BEAUTIFUL POEM BY OUR SISTER JONI.

Rum and Robots

memories of White Lake, pour over me like a cloud shedding its fluid
the lake of glass, glistening in the sun, reflecting silent laughter
looking at your toes underneath this cooling mirror, I sigh
the rough wooden pier that stretches out, as a second summer day
calling my name, like a silk scarf longing to feel fingers touching
music lingers akin to a floating seagull in the cobalt blue skies
size fives are stirring to the notes, and the cadence drifting
smells of amber, tobacco, and patchouli mixing with the scent of heat
holding hands, my body remembers your touches and tender visits
sauntering toward the dance floor, I am floating, I hear your smile
holding me in your strong bronze arms, I know your leave is ending
oblivious to all but you, I study your breath, as again, I pray you will again return
