Each year in the Art Room, the Kilmer Upper works together on a school-wide collaborative project. This year, our project is inspired by the What Lifts You project by the street artist Kelsey Montague. Kelsey creates large murals in different cities, where the viewer is invited into the piece. Participants are encouraged to post their photos with the artwork to social media with the hashtag #whatliftsyou to share their experiences.
Students at the Kilmer Upper will each be creating their own zentangle feather, which we will be assembling into our own wing mural for our annual Gallery Walk art show (Wednesday, May 4, 6:15pm- 7pm). At the show, students will be encouraged to photograph themselves and their friends and share their thoughts on What Makes Kilmer Students Soar.
