Alexandra Francis is an artist working in Leeds whose work I first saw earlier in 2018 at her degree show at Leeds Beckett University. I was impressed by her interactive piece I instruct you to pop a balloon (2018) (below) where visitors were able to do just that โ€“ pop a balloon filled with coloured sand and admire the resulting multicoloured sand art that developed on the floor, disrupted by footprints and bits of spent rubber. It was fun and engaging, and aesthetically pleasing.
