Saints’ day. Augustine, the philosopher

Cherished friends, I’m not a believer of any religion, but a mere admirer of the Art that with its pretext has been done along the history. The stories of saints are almost like tales full of fantasy and often colorful too.

Thanks again for your loyalty to the Univers of the Sketches.

Lithography pencilHi folks, the pencil I’m holding in this picture it’s the kind used to draw on a stone. At university in Fine Arts, I chose the speciality in Engraving and Print Techniques for the fourth and fifth courses. One day the teacher showed us in a corner of the atelier, a bunch of stones ready to practise Lithography. All these had different format, and my choosing was for a squared one. Below you can see my little contribution to this post, ‘The players’.

Thank so much for your visit!

‘To Music’ The same meaning of Franz Schubert’s ‘An die Musik’

Dear followers and friends, maybe the most important discovering of the humanity for our mood’s wellness would be the music. In my life, I’m embraced to a rounded  ‘float’ now. But this was not made with plastic, because is an infinite music sheet, so powerful against my daily pains and troubles.
I am a lover of all kinds of music. Within each style I have my personal preferences, but love all the musical genres, from north to south, from east to west and, from the oldest until music made today.

The prestigious german record label ECM was born with the famous motto “the most beautiful sound after silence”. Silence is not only a bliss to our ears, but also an indispensable measure of time in music. Here all the musicians that appear in this post are in ‘pause’, a true chance to us for  concentrate our senses in our beholding.

Thanks a lot as ever and let’s enjoy, remember to click pause when you finish. Music is nourishing a lot of hearts.
