🚩✏ ✔ HELLO DEARS! IN MY OPINION, THIS DRAWING IS EXCELLENT. IT’S VERY RICH IN GREY SHADES. IT GETS A THIRD DIMENSION AND DESCRIBES THE VOLUMES TO PERFECTION WITHOUT FORGET THE LINES. THANKS ANNETTE !👌

A sneak peek to my sketchbook #34

✏🎯 HI SISTERS! THE SKETCHES BY ANNA SEEMS SIMPLE BUT ARE SO FRESH AND GENUINE. GREAT ! 👌

Anna's Neverland

As June comes gradually to an end, I decided to post some of my recent work.

If you follow me on Instagram perhaps you aready know that this month I have been working on a new comic. It’s a short story about a mysterious Angel who resides in a post apocalyptic city and a young florist whom he meets. I plan to have it ready by the end of the summer!

Being busy with this project I didn’t have time for other extraordinary art things, so the drawings that follow are mostly sketches.

Don’t worry though because I will soon post some concept art I have been working on for a retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s Thumbelina!

Now let’s have a look at today’s art:

Exploring The Abyss #mermay2019

The month of May is almost over and so the #mermay Art Challenge.  I love painting mermaids and sadly this year I had no time, I was only able to create one new mermaid to include in my existing Mermaids Collection.  I painted only one but I am very happy with my painting and who said that time is over for creating Mermaids? Yes the challenge is over but I can create new Mermaids whenever I want! 😉

Today I am excited to share with you myNew Release” of my Mermaid painting having the title  “Exploring The Abyss”  I painted in my traditional and signature style watercolor and ink. If you followed my recent posts on Instagram you remember this mermaid because I was showing my work in progress with some sneak peek,  from the pencil…

2.1 Develop a Visual Response

🍇🍋🍒HELLO DEARS! THE TREAT IS AN SKETCH FOR EACH PIECE OF FRUIT.

Contemporary Context

Task (extract): Using your trend book, your descriptive words and your gathered objects, develop a large body of visual research that explores the aesthetic, atmosphere, ideas and narratives within your trend using a range of methods: • drawing, using varied media, tools and approaches on a range of scales • collage, photography and any other image-making approaches • three-dimensional responses and small-scale making (three-dimensional drawing).

Summary of sketchbook work

I started by gathering my original palette and images and supplemented this with additional imagery and objects – with autumn approaching, different ‘harvests’ are ripening which have added depth to my photographic sources.  They also add a personal element as these are from my garden; it will be interesting to see if this proves a distraction from my trend-led brief or enriches it.  Added to this were the original descriptive words including ‘fresh, rich, ordered, invigorating’ and so on; following…
