Barbouillée

🌄 WELL SUGARS, ONLY GREAT ARTISTS, CAN DEPICT A FABRIC OF NIMBLE SOULS AND RISING SUNS.

Désert Occidental

Jean- Yves Beaujean -Peinture sur bois -123/63cm 2021

Barbouille

Casanova

HELLO DEARS ! AS YOU ALREADY KNOW, ART MADE WITH MIXED TECHNIQUE HAS NOT LIMITS.

Color me in Cyanide and Cherry

“Casanova”

Casanova”Mixed media, sometime in 2020-2021

Just a simple piece I don’t even remember when I worked on correctly, that I thought I’d share about. I like the simplicity and possibility of thought with it – I find it dark but pleasantly soothing?

As always, do feel free to tell me what it reminds you of or what it makes you think about and I hope impending February is treating you kind.

Waiting

🐎🏹 OH SISTERS! I WISH YOU THE BEST MUSE AND INSPIRATION FOR YOUR NEXT WORK. SHE ALSO COULD BE AN AMAZON.

Yesterday and today: Merril's historical musings

Waiting

Odilon Redon, The Muse on Pegasus

On a long wander, cold-breathed,
I think every spring’s a poet born
as from rain a rose—
yet, if we recall the red petals’ fall

in sun turns and moon cycles,
and after dusk’s berry-glow and bird-light flickers,
the deep song of ancient souls
carried on wind-fiddles–

now wait for light whispers
and the caramel breath of dawn,
a honeyed smile that lingers on treetops
and beneath, the lichen rocks
and moss blankets,

seeds rest,
knowing when to bloom.

My poem from the Magnetic Poetry Oracle. It’s cold here today.

Water mixable oils on a leaf

🌿🖌️ WELL SISTERS, HERE PAINT FILLINGS BUILT A FABULOUS PORTRAIT.

Soila Art

A little random exercise, first time using water mixable oil colors.

I have never painted using oils so trying out the water mixable oils was quite interesting. And to make things more interesting the practice was made on a fresh leaf of any plant!

I picked a big mostly even leaf from my hibiscus and checked some images as inspiration to paint a simple portrait.

The leaf after a few days started to crumble a bit, as expected, and was bulging in the middle, so I taped it then to a wooden board. The painting itself was still a bit sticky after few days, but otherwise had not changed. In a few days more the leaf is starting to be dry and crumbly, but painting is still intact.

Photos in order (first two were 24.3., next two 26.3., and last today 30.3.):

I did not try to preserve the leaf…

Spell – Evening routine

📱 HI DARLINGS! WHAT THE AUTHOR SAYS IS AS TRUE AS HER DRAWING IS EXCELLENT. POSSIBLY IN FUTURE SOME PORTRAITS OR SELF-PORTRAITS, WILL DEPICT OUR SLAVERY RELATIONSHIP WITH THESE DEVICES.

Café culture addict

It maybe the first thing one reaches in the morning, and the last thing done before embarking onto the island of 1000 dreams…

Another sign proving of how endlessly addictive tech and apps have become.
