🐦 WELL DARLINGS, CAN I STAND ON YOUR SHOULDER ❓

Beryl's Adventures in Artland

Part of what I would like to achieve through my blog, is a conversation with other people who are having a go at art. I want to pick their brains, to learn from them and share their experiences. Social media makes this so much easier, opening a window to a world of artistic talent, enabling conversations in which no words are actually spoken and bottoms remain firmly on sofas.

It’s weird. It’s a bit intimidating how much amazing talent is out there. It is also, frankly, totally bonkers. I have lost hours this week watching hundreds of little videos. 1. I’m working at working on trying to draw and lists of other things. I think your bird turned out great.

    • Cherished Beryl, the way you feel is telling me that you’re a great artist. Don’t think so much, and don’t worry about discard works or tryings. Realise of the exclusiveness from the object you choiced, and when you observe it, love it, because your action of drawing is unique. Never think about the result while you draw and be concentrated with your work. That’s the passion of Art. That way is the passionate practise of art. I’m a degree in Fine Arts and this is nothing so important as the true life of the little birds you drawn. 💚💜💙💛

    • I love lists. For all kinds of things. I like to right things on the top of my ‘to do’ list that I have already done so that I can feel good about crossing it through! Theme with art take some of the thinking out of it all. Which is great when your mind is fried! Keep the faith with the drawing. It’s the process that’s important rather than the outcome!
